Now that the brawnen were driven off from the gates of Testament, the heirs were mounting a strike force to drive them back deep into the heart of Thrad, possibly even cutting through to Leviatown. Thanks to the technological knowledge gleaned from Keem’s mission to retrieve the sourcecore, the Fighting Force had amassed additional munitions quickly, even redirecting some of the increased Source output to accelerate the incubation of new elfinkaze. The assault on the enormen would be swift and powerful, and with the narora and grovetenders still reeling from their own surprise attacks, the heirs would soon be the dominant force on the island group, putting Will in prime position for dominance over the other races and battle-readiness in case any more islands joined up with the greater whole. Indeed, heir researchers had been reporting increasing fluctuations in the closest unconnected island, Areci.
Jaelana prowled the walls of Testament before the battle, inspecting troops and barking orders at whoever happened to be nearby. As she hopped along, she spotted the humminger captain who had spoken up during the briefing after the brawnen attack.
“You,” she grunted. “We will be wanting even more of a show of strength from you than we did during the blockade. I want you to provide a lightshow that will scare off even their mindless ones."
